2025 IMPACT REPORT
Inspire. Empower. Enlighten.
In 2025, Y4E-SEA strengthened its role in shaping the energy transition discourse through research and knowledge products that brought youth perspectives into regional and international conversations. A key milestone was the completion of Youth as Partners in Achieving SDG7: A Guide for Youth Engagement in Asia-Pacific’s Just Energy Transition (Youth4JET), commissioned by UN ESCAP and co-authored with the BRICS Youth Energy Agency, drawing on evidence from 15 Asia-Pacific countries and placing Southeast Asian youth leadership within a broader 51-country evidence base. Alongside this flagship publication, Y4E-SEA developed youth-focused briefs and knowledge outputs that translated complex energy issues into accessible insights, helping young people and stakeholders better understand the challenges and opportunities of a just energy transition.

A DEFINITIVE YOUTH GUIDE TO SOLAR POWER IN SOUTHEAST ASIA
Youth Brief
Southeast Asia holds one of the world’s largest untapped solar energy potentials. This brief provides an overview of solar power fundamentals and practical considerations for deployment, including small-scale systems. Grounded in regional evidence, it examines current progress, policy frameworks, and the role of innovation and cross-border collaboration in advancing the region’s energy transition.

ASEAN YOUTH ENERGY OUTLOOK
Project Clean Future
Y4E-SEA with AYO Recent recently launched the ASEAN Youth Energy Outlook. This publication highlights youth insights and recommendations on the sustainable energy transition, reflecting voices at the regional, national, and individual levels across Southeast Asia. It provides a unique platform for young people to share their ideas and solutions to advance clean energy and sustainable development in the region.
