Youth in Energy Mentorship Program

About the Program

The transition toward a sustainable, resilient, and low-carbon future is creating unprecedented opportunities for young people across Southeast Asia. As industries, governments, and communities accelerate efforts to address climate and energy challenges, there is a growing need for future professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and networks to drive meaningful change.

The Youth in Energy Mentorship Program aims to empower Southeast Asian youth by providing direct access to experienced mentors working across the energy and sustainability landscape. Through structured mentorship sessions, peer-to-peer learning, and career development activities, participants will explore diverse professional pathways, strengthen their career readiness, and build a deeper understanding of their potential role in advancing Southeast Asia's energy transition.

Duration: 20 July – 28  August 2026 (6 weeks)

Format: Online, 1 mentor : 3 mentees* (team-based learning)

Commitment: ~1.5–2 hours/per session, every 2 weeks (3 sessions in total) 

Final Project: A short reflective essay (career plan and youth contribution)

  • Shape Your Future Contribution by developing a clearer vision of your role in advancing Southeast Asia’s energy transition.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, you must: 

  • Be a citizen of a Southeast Asian country (currently residing in Southeast Asia or abroad).

  • Be between 15 and 28 years old (including high school students, university students, fresh graduates, and early-career professionals).

  • Commit to attending all three mentoring sessions throughout the six-week program.

  • Complete and submit the required final project, including a final essay on career aspirations and youth contribution.

  • Demonstrate a strong interest in energy, climate, and sustainability-related fields.

  • Show a commitment to creating positive impact and empowering communities through future career and leadership pathways.
